The biggest problem I have with the 2 first SM games (which I will admit I haven't played all that much since I ain't all that fond of them in the first place) is that there is no real thought put into monster placement most of the time with most of the confrontations just being the same arena style battles taking place in an open space over and over, and it gets old really fast. I am personally looking forward to playing SM 3 which will be released in a 2 months time since it looks way better then the first 2 games, but as far as the first 2 games are concerned I don't really like them all that much.
